I came across Glashutte by accident. I thought it was an IWC, but it seemed a little more substantial. After doing a little research, I’m really a fan. Glashutte is a German watch company that has been around for a while. Don’t kid yourself, Germany produces some serious watches: Lange and NOMOS are both German.
I like the elegance of these watches. They produce a few models, but I’m really drawn to the Original Senator (above), as well as the Senator Chronometer, and the Senator Observer (examples below). By no means are these everyday watches, but are outstanding choices for those dressier days. The price point is in line with what I’d expect to pay for watch of this caliber. Now all I need is another reason to add to my collection…
