Ahh…Summertime. The days are getting longer and the temperature is going up. Walking around Sid and Ann Mashburn this time of year is a welcome breath of fresh air. The colors are bright, the attitude is light, and the tunes are rocking. There are all kinds of new goodies at Sid’s, including his own garment dyed polos:
The ‘SM’ embroidery on the bottom left front is a nice touch…it goes with the spread collar:
The colors are great too. They are practical and neutral, but have a worn look so you don’t look so ‘pressed’. That’s what it’s all about. Happy-casual. And what would go better than a pair of ‘smoky blue’ Levi’s:
I’m really digging the colored denim thing going on. By now you should have a pair of tan jeans, so consider these as your next option. Good with a green polo or a plaid button up and loafers. Consider these your new ‘summer neutral’.
And the swimsuit…probably the most important piece of clothing you’ll wear this summer. Guys – it’s time to shorten up your inseams. And no cargo pockets. Cargo pockets on swimsuits are like pleats on pants. Don’t do it. The Sundeks are just the right inseam (6″) and have a retro feel that will never go out of style (because it hasn’t):
…and Filson. In navy blue. That’s all I need to say about that:
In other news…hot off the press are the new Sid Mashburn driving mocs:
Available in navy suede, brown leather, and chocolate suede, these are the perfect alternative to Tretorns or Havianas. The high vamp lends to a very masculine look. Take your time breaking these in…the older they are, the better they look.
Ann has released her version of the driving mocs as well. This is Ann’s first shoe! They look great, and I’m sure all the ladies will be clamoring for a pair (or two).
The lower vamp makes these more lady-like, and the colors range from the neutral shades of brown and navy to the more jazzy bright pink.
Stop in next time you are in Atlanta or drop by their corner of the Interweb and check it all out.
