I did a post on the Filson Excursion bag a while back, and for whatever reason, they quit making it. I really like it, and have used it for almost every hunt over the last year. I added a couple patches and am planning on adding a couple more (stay tuned)… Filson recently released their camo line, which includes a bunch of pieces (jackets, bags, shirts, etc.), and it’s all really nice. When perusing East Dane the other day, I saw the Excursion bag again, but in the camo.
I’m all in for this model – while it’s a pretty expensive venture, it is very functional and hits all the right notes in what’s needed for a hunting duffle. The leather handles are a nice touch, and the waterproof shoe bag is a nice option to stuff away that dirty stuff you don’t want messing up your layers/shells/accessories. Give it a look, folks.
