In Hand: Res Ipsa’s Kilim Clogs

It makes me happy to see the Birkenstock Boston resurgence.  I had a pair in high school and actually wore them quite a bit.  The clog look isn’t for everyone, but neither is the Jesus sandal.  It’s a personal preference.

My dear friends at Res Ipsa have created something that should not only quench the thirst but in a handsome way that only Res Ipsa can do: they created Kilim Clogs:

They are designed in the same manner as the Bostons, but with a one-of-a-kind kilim rug as an upper, and a lightweight foam sole that makes them extremely lightweight.  The rubber outsole is perfect for grabbing mail or picking the kids up from school.

It’s the style that I love.  I’ve been a HUGE fan of the Kilim Loafers for almost ten years, and wear them all the time.  These are a great addition to the Res Ipsa lineup and will get a ton of wear this Fall/Winter/Early Spring with jeans/khakis/5-pockets.  Let these be the star of your wardrobe, opting for solids and basics for pants, shirts, and sweaters.  I like to wear these with socks, more for a warmth thing at the time of year these get sported.

Casual?  Yes.  High style?  Yes.
