How about a little state pride? The state National Guard patches have got to be some of the coolest things I have seen. Each are very unique and an accurate representation of each state. I would assume that Rugby would probably use these as inspiration – works for me. Here are some good ones:

Cool patches, I have a stock pile of different patches from my days in the Air Force and then my Dad has even more from his days if the AF too.
Very cool blog by the way, I went to most of your archive and really enjoyed it. I see you visit some of my stomping grounds like Columbia and Charleston. I lived in Charleston for 6 years and the wife's family lives in Columbia so I'm there a bit.

The Massachusetts one is sadly boring, but then again all National Guard Units are repping Massachusetts with the main patch.
I might be a bit biased being from PA, but the Bloody Bucket has all these beat!
