In Hand: True Linkswear Joggers

It took me a while to get on the ‘jogger’ train, but I’m enjoying it so far.  I don’t wear them too much, mainly lounging and when running errands, but that’s mostly because my stockpile of joggers is pretty casual.  I got a couple of pairs from a Backcountry sale, I got one pair of Peter Millars from a sale at our club, and I snagged a pair from Duck Camp during their sale, but that’s about it.

True Linkswear reached out a while back to let me know these are coming, and I was intrigued.  True does a good job of innovating around their gear, and given that we are further down the Jogger roadmap vs. the early ‘slim sweatpants’ model, I knew True would put out some good stuff.

They sent me a couple of pairs to check out: the All Day Jogger, and the All Day HYBRID Jogger.  Before we put our legs in the pants, I have to commend the packaging.  I love the way True does it.  Bags that we can reuse…ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to our ‘wet bags’ for the pool this summer:

Back to it: let’s start with the All Day Jogger.  These are a mid-light weight jogger that are very flexible.  They are water resistant yet breathable, so it’s not like wearing a plastic bag.  What I like about these is around the design.  the stretch in the waist is build around the sides and back, not in the front, giving them a much more polished look.

The tie is on the outside – which I like.  It shows that these are jogger, not ‘fake’ chinos that guys will try to pull off in the office with white-soled “dress shoes” (which look terrible in a business casual setting).  The mid-rise keeps these from bunching up, and the longer inseam is good for all shapes and sizes.  Here are some images:

Lastly, the All Day HYBRID Jogger:  Basically the same as the All Day Jogger, but with a bit more of a chino fit.  Not as slim in the legs, and a typical leg opening.  They are still slim, and acutally have a really good look.  Same 32″ inseam, which is easily tailored.  These are good ‘practice pants’, meaning I’d wear these on the range, but NOT on the course.

I really like these, as they aren’t so Athleasure.  They have a bit more of a polished look.  Available in five colors (this is Lunar).  Here are some images of the HYBRID:

From a fit perspective, they are pretty true to size, meaning they don’t have a lot of vanity built into the sizing.  I’d recommend using their Size Chart to pick your size.

Enjoy!
