Mrs. RCS’ Picks: Early Spring

Hey there – this is Mrs. RCS. JRS gets a lot of requests for my favorite this or that, so I pulled together a few things I’m into or eyeing right now.

I love this time of year. Early spring is about pieces that feel lighter without trying too hard. I’m ready to pack away our heavy coats and darker palettes and bring back soft whites, white and light denim, and those in-between layers that actually make sense in Georgia. I want things I can wear to lunch, to the ballpark, or out to dinner without feeling overdone but definitely feeling chic. Effortless, but intentional. And yes, something that looks good sitting outside with a glass of wine when that 65-degree breeze hits just right.

Early spring also means practicality with a little optimism. A light trench that works in a pop-up shower. A lighter bag that signals we’re officially done with winter. I’m not chasing trends…I’m just refreshing my staples. Pieces that layer now and still work in May, in June, really all Summer. And if it pairs well with an afternoon Braves game or a quick trip to the park, even better.

Here’s what I’m eyeing:

From Top Left:

1. Sunshine Tienda Birdie Palm Bucket Hat:  Tis the season!
2. Mansur Gavriel Hobo Tote Bag:  Obsessed and really nice price point.  Utility enough for packing it up for the park or the ball park or for a day of meetings with customers.
3. NikeSKIMS Double Strap Sports Bra: Workin’ on my fitness…
4. Fresh Nike White Tennis Outfit: Very Wimbledon.
5. Quay Vibe Check Sunglasses: Easy and breezy… I can not keep a pair of sunnies to save my life, and these are so reasonable, I won’t be upset when I inevitably misplace.
6. Abercrombie Cropped Trench Coat:  I love the cropped look of this trench, and the price is just insane!
7. Pistola Lana High-Rise Wide Leg Jeans: These are flattering on everyone.
8. A Shirt Thing Celeste Poplin Popover:  Outside of TWP, A Shirt Thing makes my favorite button downs and this pull over version is it. I have in several colors and will never be without this white one.
9. Niku Black Sanaa Wrap Skirt:  The easiest grab-and-go for a late lunch or a date night.  Pair it with a tank and big jean jacket, and you are ready to go.
10. Contigo Snap Seal Water Bottle: I’m a glass preferred kind of gal and really like the wide top on this one so I can add ice.
11. Judith Slingback Snakeskin Sandals: These are approx $700 less than the others just like these- I wear these a lot and wore through my black pair last summer.
12. Staud Brigette High Wedge Mules: Wedges for the win!
