It got into the high 90s all week, but it hasn’t stopped me from thinking about Fall.
I’m already counting the days until the Dove Opener, and my boys start school next week. That means that toe meets leather soon…very soon, we’ll start firing up the fire pit, and the days will start to get shorter. With that said, I’m already eyeing a few things that I’d like to add to the rotation this Fall.
You know I’m a planner…so here we go:

1. J.Press Contrast Collar OCBD: I’ve always loved a contrast collar – but I’ve never owned one (at least not a serious one). I’m not talking about the Robert Kraft/Gordon Gekko version, but a subtle, Oxford cloth that would look great under #2.
2. Onsloe Fine Merino Cardigan: My age is probably showing here, but I saw one of these over an OCBD with jeans and Gucci loafers…it looked GREAT. Smart style.
3. Yakoda Supply Convertible Utility Pack: The longer I fish, the more minimal I want to become. I love this smaller pack from Yakoda, and I think it’s perfect for those half-days on the creek. A couple fly boxes, all the right tools, some beef jerky…just what the doctor ordered.
4. Martin Dingman Henry O-Ring Alligator Belt: I promise you: there’s room in your wardrobe for an O-ring alligator belt.
5. Kabob Set: I love kabobs. I don’t know why we never do them here at the house. That will change this Fall.
6. Tom Ford Dax Wayfarer Sunglasses: I don’t know if I can pull off Tom Ford sunglasses, but I am in the market for a pair of classic black frames.
7. B.Draddy Jack Long Sleeve Polo: These might be the perfect semi-casual shirt with a pair of 5-pockets, loafers, and a vest. Very ‘casual Thursday’ if you know what I mean.
8. Benchmade Mini Adira Knife: I have the big one…now I want the small one.
9. Green Alligator Strap for the Panerai: I’ve been wearing a canvas strap on my PAM112 for quite some time, and think it’s time to dress it up. Let’s have some fun…
10. Boardroom Olive Green OTC Merino Socks: Sticking with the green theme here…I got a pair of purple dress socks from Boardroom and love them. A solid olive pair would be fantastic as well.
11. Birkenstock Bostons: OK, so here’s the thing. I owned a pair of these in late high school, through college, and they disappeared before I turned 30. I miss those clogs, and want to add another pair.
12. Ariat Benchmade James Boots: I love my Benchmade Clantons (ropers), and want to add these ostrich cowboy boots to round out the collection.
