Head’s Up!
You are invited to the Russell Moccasin Sporting Clays Invitational on Saturday, March 16th at Purcell Farms.
For 125 years, expert bootmakers have crafted footwear for the greatest sportsmen of every generation. This March, Russell is starting a new tradition that will bring their customers, friends, and partners of all ages together for a day of good company & competition. The Invitational is limited to 60 shooters, so reserve your place because these will go fast! Additional tickets are available for spouses or non-shooters to come and enjoy the day.
In addition to the Russell Moccasin team, some of their closest industry partners are on-site to make the day even more special. Julian & Sons Fine Woodworking, Kingfisher Leatherworks, Longthorne Gunmakers, & Classic Overland Defenders will be involved throughout the event with some experiences planned with each throughout the event.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8 AM to 9 AM Check-in
Upon arrival at Orvis Shooting Grounds at Pursell Farms, you’ll be greeted by our Russell team at check-in and we’ll have light pastries and a full-service espresso and coffee bar staffed by Daysol Coffee Labs.
9:15 AM Safety Briefing
As always, safety first! Remember to bring ear and eye protection. We will have some available in the pro shop on-site as well.
9:30 – 12:00 PM Competition
The Russell Moccasin Invitational is going to be competitive, but we have a few twists planned to make it enjoyable for all skill levels. We have some fantastic awards (Yes, most definitely including Russell Boots!) that will be presented after lunch.
12:30 PM Lunch Served
After the competition, lunch will be served on the rear lawn of the pro-shop. There is nothing like good food to help you forget the missed clays!
2:00 – 4:00 PM Awards and Post-Competition Drinks
Following lunch, we will be announcing the winners of the competition and presenting awards. We’ll make this short and sweet. Following the Awards, enjoy a rum cocktail (for those of age) from our friends at Campesino Rum. We’ll have non-alcoholic drinks available as well. While you sip, we’ll have the incredible work of our friends from Julian & Sons Fine Woodworking, Kingfisher Leatherworks, Longthorne Gunmakers, & Classic Overland Defenders on display.
The lineup of models at Russell Moccasin will be on display throughout the day and there will be plenty of time for fittings as well. Hang out as long as you like, just make sure you are back home for supper so your family lets you come again next year!
