It’s finally time for some real SEC football. If the past few weeks are any indication of the Dawg’s season, there are more questions than answers, so the Carolina Gamecocks coming to town should give a clear line of sight as to what to expect this season. Has Bobo learned anything about play calling since his last stint in Athens? Is Beck the real deal, or is Brock the way to go? Will anyone score on the defense in the 2nd half?
I’m excited to learn, and especially excited to dress 100 times better than the Gamecock faithful. Here’s how to handle an SEC Opener in Athens:
From Top Left:
1. Peter Millar UGA G Polo: A standard for the SEC opener.
2. G-Shock Red Watch: I bought a bright G-Shock and I can’t stop wearing it. I absolutely love it.
3. White UGA Hat: A crisp white, non-gas station hat to top it off.
4. Blair’s Belts Red Candler Alligator Belt: Nothing says ‘I’m a real deal Dawg fan’ like a red glazed alligator belt. Serious business.
5. Sid Mashburn Canvas Shorts: For the love of all that is holy, please stop buying tech shorts. You have plenty. Get a pair of good, 100% cotton (canvas) shorts for the opener. Otherwise, you’ll look like a Gamecock fan.
6. Oak Street Bootmakers Bit Mocs: The coolest shoes you didn’t know you needed. Sturdier than driving mocs, and extremely comfortable for the celebratory walk up the hill.
Go Dawgs!
