This time of year – especially folks in the more northern latitudes – warmth is key. A down insulated jacket is a good choice for the closet, as it works with a pair of jeans and boots, and can be pulled off with more formal attire. I’m not a big fan of the hooded down jacket, but that could be because there isn’t a need for anything that heavy duty in Georgia.
Here are few that have caught my eye:
From top left:
1. Mont Bell Highland Jacket
2. Penfield Clayton Worker Jacket
3. Marmot Zeus Jacket
4. Columbia Powerfly Down Puff
5. North Face Super Diez Jacket
6. Patagonia Down Sweater
I am partial to the Eddie Bauer First Ascent Down Sweater
