Ha! I drive a 1985 Suburban and have had a few Texans ask if I wanted to sell it. Said it reminded them of their childhoods. Now I understand.

My Dad drove one of these (in Arizona) for years . . . it was very loud.

My father currently owns a '95 Suburban. I'm not letting him get rid of it as in a decade it will be a dinosaur of the SUV era. I can't wait until I can take care of it.
