I’m very happy to report that the bit loafers from Oak Street Bootmakers are back. I got a pair of the dark brown bit loafers a few years ago, and wear them all the time. To me, these are the perfect bit loafers. This is the type of loafer that looks great with a pair of jeans or a suit. The vamp is just right, the beef roll gives it some heft, and the toe box is petite; it’s cut more like a dress shoe than a casual loafer.
That’s how all of the Oak Street loafers are cut: just right. I have quite a few pairs, and will keep adding to the collection. They are handcrafted in the USA, and the price point is attractive for such a good pair of dress shoes. They are easily on par with Alden. Try and pair and you’ll see…
