There was a Duck Head outlet near Athens I used to visit regularly in college. In fact, a store on College Avenue sold Duck Head cutoffs. I never could understand the reason behind paying a premium (over the full length DH's) for the cutoffs when you could just cut the legs off yourself.
Today I have a single (full length) pair of olive Duck Heads in the drawer that I just can't bring myself to wear for fear of wearing them out.

From prep school in DC to college in VA (H-SC '98) Duck Heads were everywhere. However, while blessed with many positve qualities, I was also blessed with pipes that would never fit into a pair of Duck Heads 😛

Never liked them. Didn't fit well and the belt loops were out of scale. I was still getting 100% cotton army surplus khakis when Duck Heads debuts. Had I not had access to them, I might have settled into Duck Heads.

I always loved the IDEA of Duck Heads, but they never fit me well either. On top of that, it seems like once they became really popular they moved production to Mexico and their quality went even further down the crapper.
