No doubt about it, when it snows here in Atlanta, it shuts down the city. We’ve gotten about five to six inches here, then another quarter-inch of freezing rain. What’s worse – there’s a two inch sheet of ice on all the roads in our neighborhood, and the temperature isn’t supposed to rise above freezing until late tomorrow afternoon. We’re hunkered down here.
The 6″ Bean Boots have come in very handy – they almost weren’t tall enough:
But they aren’t coming in the house like that…
Fear not; Spring will be here soon enough:
Great pictures JRS. This place is pretty shut down too. I live at the bottom of a hill so I probably won't be going anywhere soon.
Thank goodness for the Landcruiser–we could make it to the Waffle House and a quick Kroger run. DOTR was clearing the walkway with the pool brush and a garden spade. You'd never know we grew up in the frozen tundra. It's like we have amnesia.
Those are great pictures! We are in the same boat, 6 inches and the whole towns shut down! Stay warm!
Breaking records down there I hear. I was wearing the 10" Bean Boots up in Nashville today but we only had 3" on the ground. More tonight.
20" here in CT – but we are somewhat used to it. More coming next week.
Great pic of your Golden Retriever. Looks a lot like my late, great GR named Molly.
