Boots: Look What I Found

I got these boots back in ~2012(?), and thought I lost them about six years ago.

These are the iconic Italian-made Billy Reid Terrance ropers, which were all the rage back then, and arguably still are.  They are a GREAT pair of boots.  The profile is just right; they aren’t too clunky, and the leather is incredible.  I can’t tell you how excited I was to find them.  These are everyman boots.  Not too flashy…not too ‘Yellowstone’.  Just right.  The kind of boots you can wear with jeans or 5-pockets and look coordinated.

However, there is a problem.  These have been sitting in a box in the attic for an eternity.  They need some work.  I plan to clean them up – saddle soap, maybe some polish, and some Melatonin.  The soles should be good for a while…maybe a couple more years.  I’ll post the ‘after’ picture once these are ready to rock.

Fall is looking better already…

Got that exact same pair and they are most excellent! Also, my daughter works in the NYC store @ 94 Charles Street, so if y’all are ever in that neck of the woods, pop in and say ‘ello…

Wow. I have this same pair I scored in a sale years ago and have never seen another pair until this post, Mine are in slightly better condition due to no wear during a 3 year stint in FL. Now I live in Santa Fe and getting them back into the rotation.

Those look absolutely amazing. Perfect roper. Ropers are the best boot. Understated and classic.
