The 2019-2020 Duck Season is behind us. From all accounts, it was a much better year around the Mississippi flyway than a year ago. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get out this year. I promised Mrs. RCS that I’d take the Fall/Winter off since we have a newborn, which I think is a fair trade. I love spending time with the little ones.
I did miss it, though. The early mornings. The wet air. The duck calls. The anxious moments as you are watching them get closer…then the JUMP to unload… Next year.
The fine folks at Tom Beckbe and @Dirtlord were nice enough to share some really great photos that capture the essence of waterfowl hunting. If these don’t get you jacked up for next year, then nothing will:
How’d you do this year? Leave a comment on where you hunted and the report…
Shitty – hunted St. Charles County near St Louis over Thanksgiving. Too much rain in the spring kept them from planting crops… no food so the ducks kept going. By most account the hunting was bad up and down the river all season.
