The 70-degree highs we had here in Atlanta last week have me absolutely jonesing for spring. I know it’s only February, but those warm mornings followed by the Braves on TV at night can’t get here fast enough.
This spring, we’ve got a few trips on the calendar. I’ve got some great golf lined up. And I’m bass fishing — a lot of bass fishing. My dad (The Renegade) is already texting me about it. He re-spooled his reel with braided line and now he thinks he’s Bill Dance.
Anyway, here’s what I’m eyeing for spring:

From top left:
1. Peter Millar Braves Polo: I’ve got a good feeling about this season. I’m a little worried about the pitching, but I have a feeling we’ll add a few arms over the next month or so.
2. Rapala X Rap Topwater Lure: By far my favorite lure to throw at sun-up. The largemouth absolutely CRUSH it.
3. Abu Garcia Zata Baitcaster Reel: It’s not a need, but a want. I like the Baitcaster for heavier throws, but dial it down to a medium action rod for extra umph. Yeah, I’m excited.
4. Humminbird Helix 5 Fish Finder: So excited that I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a portable fish/depth finder. This one is perfect for our John boats.
5. Zero Restriction Power Torque 1/4 Zip SS Pullover: Zero Restriction is some of the nicest technical golf wear on the planet. And they provide world-class protection from the elements. I’ve had my eye on this short-sleeve pullover since I played in a member-guest last spring, where we got SOAKED. My buddy wore this and stayed as dry as burnt toast.
6. Case Butterbean Pocket Knife: Like I need another pocket knife…but yeah, another pocket knife.
7. Rubirosa Joan Sneakers: I’m completely addicted to Rubirosa. I love the look and love the fit.
8. Holderness & Bourne US Open Visor: H&B has a whole US Open collection that is outstanding. And the Shinny logo is top shelf…
9. Rancourt Camp Mocs: That Buckaroo leather is undeniably cool.
10. Rugged Road RR65 Cooler: I got one last year, and want a second. They are so light, perform as well as any other hard cooler on the market, and the price point is exactly where it should be for a hard cooler. Boom.
11. Duck Camp Drifter Pants: My favorite pants for Spring bass fishing. Pair them with some Chacos, and you look like you are ready for the Bassmaster Classic.
What are you eyeing?
