For Comment: Green 1000 Mile Boots

I can’t decide what to think of these.  I was perusing around the Internet and saw these 1000 Mile boots from Wolverine in GREEN on East Dane.  Apparently they’ve popped up on a few sites.  What do we think?  Green is good, but can there too much of a good thing?

Let’s hear it.

I don’t know how I feel about those. However, I feel like when they get really broken in they would be cool.

Eh. Maybe if you have the extra scratch just laying around to spend on a pair of boots that you will only wear randomly throughout the year. Picked up Oak Street Bookmakers Ranger Moc in loden green awhile back and they get worn maybe two weeks total out of their year. Just too many other neutral choices in my closet. Great looking boots though.

As with many iconic styles, the original brown 1000 Mile from Wolverine is really the only choice. The green leather is fine, but do it in another style, maybe low top, or add moc tow stitching. Just my $0.02 worth. My 1000 Milers are 7 years old and well worn in but look terrific with only routine mink oil and buffing. Original leather soles too, not the clunking lug sole in your pic.

A more subtle olive green would be better — such as those produced by Helm. These Christmas green boots are just too loud.

It is now 2022 and those boots are rare and fabulous, IMO. As far as the color, either you like/love that Emerald Green or not. No worries, lots of colorways are love/hate. But let’s go deeper, shall we? Horween CXL, and a genuine Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot.! The classic boot by the original maker, and in a form and colorway that is unique.! Loving these to heaven.!
