I’ve known Marc at The Sporting Gent for quite some time, and we both share a deep love for fly fishing and Western North Carolina. I remember talking to him after Helene ravaged the area, and we both felt a sense of loss, even though we were both hundreds of miles away.
Marc took action. He didn’t stop. He wasn’t able to fish again until April of ’25 (Helene hit in October ’24). This is a soulful video that talks about the devastation and the recovery.
