Happy Friday, my friends. What are you drinking this happy hour?
We’re going with the Ranchwater…a very refreshing tequila drink that we make with Lo Siento – our go-to. The recipe is SUPER easy:
- In a DOF glass, fill with ice.
- Add 1 1/2 oz of Lo Siento tiquela
- Add 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice
- Top off with Topo Chico
- After a quick stir, add a lime for garnish
NOTE: Some argue for adding a pinch of salt, but I skipped that here. It’s easier to throw it together.
Add this recipe to your July 4th plans…it’s great.
Some visual details:
Spare the glass and drink the neck down on Topo Chico and add rest into bottle. Much easier for “on-the-go”.
Bingo. Even easier if it’s the Topo twist of lime flavor.
My go to summertime cocktail. I spend a lot of time in Fort Worth for work and there’s nothing better at the end of a long, red hot Texas summer day.
Lo Siento – is that Matt Leinart’s tequila? I think so. He lives in my town and plugs it hard.
I’m drinking the 20 ounce airport beer, which feels gross, but is only $2 more than the $13 twelve ounce beer. Flying from LAX to charlotte where I will drive up 77 to a small NC mountain town near where my family is from. Doesn’t get much culturally different from socal; I can’t wait. My one concern is that all our clothes are too casual or non tech for the culture and weather
I love a good Ranch Water when it’s hot. Although still hard to beat a good Gin & Tonic too. Lately I’ve also been making Pimm’s Cups with some Red Rock or Blenheim’s ginger ale which is very refreshing.
An Aperol Spritz is a great summertime alternative to the powerful ranch water. My recipe: A couple-three glugs of dry prosecco, a couple-three glugs of Aperol, topped with Topo Chico and a slice of mandarin orange.
That’s great, but what will the men be drinking….
The sophisticated men who aren’t worried about their masculinity will have an Aperol Spritz.
Hit the spaghetti Drink the neck of old school miller high life and top with aperol!
That sounds nuts, which means I have to try one.
Lalo is a great additive free tequila for Ranch Water. So is Cimmaron.
Another summer go to for me is a shot of grapefruit juice in a Tropicalia. The Creature Comforts Mimosa!
*Cimarron
just had some topo chico delivered after reading this last night
