Five things that have my attention on January 11th, 2026. I think you’ll like them:

Duck Camo Collection from Topo Designs: Topo makes some of the best, most functional gear on the planet. The colorways are reminiscent of the 80s-90s mountain climbing culture. I love them, and have quite a few of thier pieces. They just released a whole collection in canvas duck camo, and it’s worth taking a look at…I’m particularly fond of the tote (above). And the value…can’t beat it.

Blade & Bow 30-year Bourbon. I’m not much of a bourbon collector, but I do like to have some SERIOUSLY special bottles for those occasions that deserve a toast. I am about halfway through my bottle of 22-year-old, and absolutely love it. It’s a crowd pleaser. I’m going to put the rest in a Clayton & Crume decanter and do something with the bottle (candle? trinket holder?). This is on the list.

B.Draddy Richard Boxers: I’ve been wearing these for about a year now, and love them. They are the perfect hybrid between boxers and briefs, and are made of the B.Draddy cotton that is super soft. They are a bit of a splurge (but use RCS20 for 20% off!), but worth it. Highly recommend.

Holderness & Bourne Sullivan Snap-T: I have a few of these Sullivans, and wear them frequently…however, this Heathered Harbour color is something special. GREAT for this time of year, pair it with jeans and a white OCBD for an ice-cold look. Holderness has perfected the art of a pop of color at just the right season.

Clarks Wallabees in Beeswax Leather: I have the suede ones. You have/had the suede ones. But… have you done the Beeswax version? Are these the perfect solution for casual office shoes that aren’t loafers and aren’t tennis shoes? I might have to give these a try…
What’s got your attention these days?
I appreciate a tote having the option for shoulder straps. That’s something that I feel like a lot of them are missing. May have to explore these a bit more.
I currently have both suede and beeswax wallabees. I am not sure how you wear yours, but I do both 5 pockets or shorts. I like them with shorts and a polo in the summer.
I have the Beeswax Wallabees and wear them with a blazer and tie frequently. Kind of a whole Wes Anderson look. Also, I would rethink putting a nice bourbon in a decanter. Even if it’s advertised as airtight air can still get in and ruin the bourbon, unless you are planning on drinking it relatively quickly. If not it will ruin the taste of the bourbon. Something as nice as the B&B 30 year I would absolutely keep it in its original bottle until you finish it.
OK fine I’ll go watch Rushmore again.
Wallabees with khakis/blazer/tie is my go-to Sunday look during fall-winter. Can’t go wrong.
I remember when I bought my first house and thought it’d be cool to put bourbon in a decanter on the buffet in my dining room (because that’s what my parents did). Little did I know they put dyed water in those decanters and kept the hooch in the original bottle- learned that the hard way when my bourbon turned to starter fluid after about six months.
