In Hand: The B.Draddy Bradshaw Shacket

We are neck deep into the age of the Shack. It makes sense after the casual pull of the pandemic, and as we head back to sport coat normalcy (it’s coming), bridging pieces have been accepted along the way. Shackets, overshirts, and casual shirt jackets have taken a foothold in the rotations of many guys like me, who are comfortable in sport coats but enjoy alternate options.

As B.Draddy enters the chat, they’ve put forth their position player in the lineup: the Bradshaw.

When I think about B.Draddy, words that come to mind are cotton, smart casual, comfortable, and innovative.  You’ll notice in their new releases a focus on off-course, as much as on-course.  So far it’s been good. On the Bradshaw:

Off the rack, you notice how soft it is.  Made of 58% Peruvian Cotton (+ 32% polyester and 10% nylon), it is extremely comfortable.  The cut is just right – not wide, but enough to fit over an OCBD or a golf shirt.  The diamond quilt is subtle and gives the shacket an elevated look with interesting texture.  The button cuffs are another nice touch, with horn buttons throughout.  The length is just right as well.  As a 5’11” stud, the hem lands right at my pockets, so it’s not too long, and it’s not too short.  Add in two on-seam hand warmer pockets, and we are ready to rock.
