March Date Night

With the temperatures rising and the sun hanging around a little longer, we’re officially in prime date-night season. And not just the standard drinks-and-dinner rotation, I’m talking about the fun ones. A stroll through the neighborhood. A “just one at each spot” bar crawl. Maybe some chipping and putting before dinner. Or after. (Highly recommend.)

Dressing for a more active date doesn’t mean going full tech-bro performance mode. It’s not about looking like you just left a 5K. I’d call it upscale smart. Clean lines. A little stretch. Great fabric. Cool sneakers. Sporty, but intentional.

Here’s how I like to do it:

From top left:

1. Peter Millar Piqué Everyday Long Sleeve Polo:  I’ve been really into long sleeve polos lately…I love the look as a dress shirt alternative, and as a spring, pre-humidity alternative on the course.  The pique option from PM is a great play here.
2. Rolex Explorer II:  Sporty and cool.  A great everyday wearer.
3. Epaulet Doyle Chore Coat in Mandarin Wool Flannel:  Opt for a pop of color as Spring is just around the corner.  Epaulet knocked it out of the park with this Mandarin Wool flannel chore coat.  It’s not for everyday, but also not a costume.  It’s great for special occasions.
4. Peter Millar Fairfield Garment Dyed Denim:  My go-to these days.  Elevated denim in natural colors are all the rage these days, and for good reason.  That 2% stretch is
5. La Matera Marron Polo Belt:  A great belt with some visual texture interest.  Watch the leather, man.
6. Garrett Leight Kinney Sunglasses:  Every time I get a new pair of Garrett Leights, Mrs. RCS steals them.  Beware.
7. Rubirosa Judy Suede Sneakers:  I’ve fought the sneakers thing for a long time.  One of the main reasons I gave in was because of Rubirosa and what they are doing: elevated leathers and simple designs.  Extremely well made in Italy…they check all the boxes.
8. Pink Floyd / ‘Meddle’:  Such a great vibe for this time of year.  Hit play on ‘Fearless’ at sunset.  It’s perfect.

What did I miss?
