I’ve been looking around for a fixed blade knife for quite a while. I don’t have a huge need, but like the idea. Not only that, but I really like the craftsmanship, and the timeless feel. A turn off to a lot of the fixed blade knives was the price. Without a real need, it was a big mountain for me to climb.
What I wanted was a smaller knife with a leather sheath and a stag handle. From a use perspective, I’d say it would be for quail and trout, and general outdoor/utility use.
At SEWE, I had the pleasure of meeting Warren Glover of Cleveland, GA’s Bubba Knives. Warren runs the show at Bubba, and had a really nice selection of unique knives. I saw this knife, and it immediately got my attention.
The knife is really nice size. The blade is 3″, with an overall size of 6.25″. The sheath is a great natural leather with a fox stamped. Fate?
The stag handle was from an antique carving set that Warren re-purposed to this knife. I think it looks great:
The price? $125. MUCH less that other fixed blade knives that I saw. It is the perfect package for me, and I can’t wait to put this to use. Warren was nice enough to sign the sheath, as long as I promised to give it a good home. I was more than happy to swipe my card and bring this handsome guy home.
Georgia folks supporting Georgia folks in South Carolina. My kind of transaction.

Great looking fixed blade! Remember to keep that stag handle clean after dressing any game…
