Ever since I bought the natural chromexcel beef roll loafers from Oak Street Bootmakers, they have not left my rotation. They are absolutely outstanding. I really like the natural sole and the general look of the shoe. This is my first dip into the horween chromexcel leather shoe pool, and so far I am more than pleased. They were a bit of an investment, but I am convinced that they will be with me for quite some time.
Fast forward a few months.
Every once in a while, the Lords of Ebay smile upon me. In a random ‘Oak Street Bootmakers’ search, a pair of beef rolls shows up in my size, but…wait for it…in Navy blue. Now, I do have another pair of Navy driving shoes (tip ‘o the hat, Martin Dingman), but when I saw these, I knew that they would be mine. They were brand new, and appeared to have been sitting in this gentleman’s closet for about a year.
I made my offer, it was accepted, and they showed up at my door a few days later. Ladies and Gentlemen, feast your eyes on the newest addition to my lineup:
Bad ass. Been meaning to add a pair of colored leather loafers to the rotation. Like you, I already have colored suede drivers (green Tods – awesome). Haven’t pulled the trigger yet because I keep going back and forth between blue and green. Or red.
Well freaking color me green! Love Oak Street Bootmakers and those are some darn slick looking shoes. I’m going to have to troll ebay a lot more often now.
Those are nice man…love the navy for sure. Just picked me up some navy driving shoes a while back, but nothing like these..
What color belt do you prefer to wear with the navy loafers?
