There are a handful of weekends on the college football calendar that just mean more, and Georgia vs. Florida is right near the top of the list. The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is one of the great traditions in college football.
Two fan bases that genuinely don’t like each other, a stadium split down the middle, and a rivalry with enough history to fill a library. Records don’t matter. Rankings don’t matter. This is Georgia and Florida, and beating the Gators never gets old. Ever. And this year it’s up in Atlanta…as neutral as Jacksonville, right?
The Dawgs have had the upper hand in this rivalry for a while now, and I’d love nothing more than to keep that train rolling. Florida is always dangerous, regardless of what their record says, and you can bet they’ll bring everything they’ve got on Saturday.
For Georgia, the assignment is simple: show up, play physical football, take care of business, and send the folks in orange and blue home disappointed. You know they’ve been hearing it at practice since the Auburn game…
As for the attire, I’m leaning toward classic Georgia gear this weekend. A little red, some good khakis, and boots that can handle a long day of celebrating, missing trick-or-treating, and ending up at Northside Tavern. Here’s how to do it:

From Top Left:
1. Nike UGA Dad Hat: Something about that old-school shadow font…even on a black hat, it’s super cool.
2. Rolex Sub 126610: Perfect for checking the time to know how late you’ll be for trick-or-treating.
3. Johnnie O Freeman UGA Crew Neck Sweatshirt: Big red…a great, well-cut crew neck to finish off the look. And the script ‘Dawgs’ adds a touch of class.
4. Criquet Player’s Shirt w/ the UGA Helmet: If it ain’t broke…
5. Pennbilt Plainsman Khakis: Great khakis for a big game. Well-fitting for the long walk(s), and cut perfectly to go over #7.
6. Jacob Hill Red Lizard Belt: That belt you got for Christmas that you haven’t had a chance to wear….TODAY IS THE DAY.
7. Sid Mashburn Vaquero Waxy Brown Suede Ropers: Some of the coolest boots on the market. They have rubber Dianite soles, so you can walk all day. And the waxy suede is as cool as a cucumber.
