PMGN: Home Opener vs. Marshall

We’re back, baby!  I’m so tired of Not College Football Season…it seems like forever since the playoffs, and we’re ready to get geared up and dive in headfirst.  The expectations have never been higher, and the Dawgs are still LOADED, after a reload.  There is nothing finer than Athens on a Saturday getting ready for the Bulldogs to play…wow, it’s been way too long.

The home opener vs. Marshall has a ‘first day of school’ feel, so that’s what we’re going for here.  Like mom taking us to Uptons and JC Penney for school shopping, it’s all new, and it’s all clean and crisp.  The 3:30 kickoff is ideal for a good warm-up tailgate, so show off your Saturday best:

From top left:

1. PMGN X Holderness & Bourne Banner Year Polo:  Crisp and white.  Show the Heard the UGA resume on your chest.  It ain’t bragging if it’s true.  Auburn’s would probably look a little different.
2. Hook & Gaff Black Field Watch:  A great piece to have in the rotation, and the color coordination is wearable, not overly intentional.
3. PMGN Noble Brow Visor:  We’re big fans of the high-crown visors, and PMGN is STOCKED.  Get ’em while the gettin’s good.
4. Garrett Leight Broadway Sunglasses:  Good sunglasses for a long day catching some rays.
5. Smathers & Branson Standing Bulldog Needlepoint Belt:  Needlepoint seems to be fading, but I love these college options with some of the vintage logos.  Classy.
6. Duck Head 7″ Gold School Chino Shorts:  If there is a better example of ‘first day of school’ and it isn’t these shorts, then you are lying.
7. Nike Air Pegasus ’89:  Extremely cool and comfortable.  Don’t forget about that hill from the stadium to downtown…

Nice to see Auburn finally fully embracing their Little Brother ethos. If ya can’t beat em, claim em anyway.

Curious why you are picking the golf version of those Nikes?

Anyone that is over 40 has seen Auburn be much more successful than Georgia even including the past 4 years when Georgia finally won something of significance.

I’ve seen Auburn have three undefeated seasons since I was born in 1983. Auburn was the best team in the country in 1993, 2004, 2010. Lost to FSU on last play in 2013. Supposedly won in 1983 but too young to remember that season.

Georgia has had 1 undefeated season maybe 2 but I wasn’t born for the other if they had it.

Georgia won 2 NC and lost one close in 2017 but everybody knows that a healthy Auburn team beats Georgia or Alabama again in 2017 if they played. Kinda hard to win a game when your 5 best players are injured. Georgia knows this all too well when they beat Alabama without Williams or Metchie.

You know Auburn is about to blow back up when Georgia fans are crying in a game thread about clothing

LOL, as the gen z crowd says, I hope you had that same energy last year at 6-7. That said, though I now make my home in California, I lived in Columbus, GA during the ‘04 farce so I understand your pain. Ironically, the ‘42 natty Georgia claims but didn’t win (finished #2 in the polls) was marred by a blowout loss to Auburn. Go figure.

Someone guys on YouTube have made awesome college football history videos. Determining the national champion has always been a joke. Also, the SEC is a political coalition / cartel and the idea that all of its members are coequals is comical.
