I love a 3:30 kickoff. Especially when the Fall weather has taken hold. It makes for the perfect day: tailgates don’t have to start before sunrise, they are more lunch-focused, plenty of time to imbibe prior to heading in, and the second half is usually a night game.
That said, it’s going to be chilly on Saturday – especially in the second half. Missouri is coming to town, and they’ve got a good team. UGA is obviously superior, but the last four games of the year are a test to see if The Dawgs can earn that #1 or #2 spot in the CFB playoffs. Read: they need BIG/DOMINANT wins.
So – here’s how to dress for the elements:
From top left:
1. Alan Paine Red Cashmere Sweater: Give the quarter zips a rest. Opt for cashmere. Actually, that should be something that is said more often.
2. Peter Millar Black Check Shirt: Coordinated with #1, a crisp collar gives the look of a successful, degree-holding professional, even if you are about 5-6 bourbons deep.
3. Tom Beckbe Piedmont Jacket: For the second half, the Beckbe Piedmont jacket is the lighter-weight waxed jacket that is perfect for this time of year. This’ll take you all the way through the post-game celebrations.
4. Sid Mashburn Field Pants: Fall and canvas pants go together like peas and carrots. Enjoy.
5. Blairs Belts Red/White Stretch Belt: Always go big with the belt. Blair has some GOOD ones that pull it all together.
6. Blundstone Boots: The coolest boots you didn’t know you needed. Pair with some good wool socks and you are ready to do some Walkin’ (for your Love).
Go Dawgs!
This is probably the best outfit of the year.
Was coming here to say this. Spot on.
Seconding this sentiment!
Nice WSP reference to end the post!
