Admittedly, this game scares me to death. Kentucky can flat-out play some football and is tied for first in the division. The Wildcats come to Athens on Saturday night trending much higher than you’d expect, which turns this into a trap game. I do like the 7 p.m. kickoff, as the atmosphere should be insane for a high-caliber October SEC matchup.
It’s going to be a little chilly Saturday afternoon and night, so dress accordingly. And since our friends come from horse country, let’s welcome them the right way…by dressing like post-grad fraternity guys:
From top left:
1. J. Press White OCBD: It all starts with a white OCBD. Get a good one. Nice and thick. And bulletproof.
2. Old School Bulldog Cap: The best SEC logo ever. Embrace it.
3. Hoof Pick Belt: A very necessary (and inexpensive) addition to any wardrobe. The Tory Leather belts are fantastic, and the hoof pick is a cool, interesting buckle.
4. Barbour Vest: Like you don’t own a million vests. I’m sure one of them is red. Do it.
5. Duck Head Canvas 5-Pockets: The best boot pants on the market. Just don’t crease them.
6. Tecovas Weston Boots: I heard they are starting to check boots for flasks/bottles, so be careful, and more creative. Good luck.
Go Dawgs!
The CATS are coming!
(Realistically I just hope we keep it close)
– A scarred Kentucky football fan
That old Dawg head is uniquely ours since a former football letterman named Wally Williamson drew it while in college. On apparel; however, I think the old standing Dawg looks best. As far as I know, he’s all ours too.
The old college bar hats are always correct. The more ragged, the better.
Should be a hell of a game but UGA wins by 10.
This
If the Kentucky team that shows up is the “Florida Game Version”, could be a helluva game. If the “Eastern Kentucky Game Version” shows up then pour a stiff bourbon, turn in early and add Bowers to your Heisman list.
Ordered the “red” Barbour vest. It is definitely not Georgia red, but more of a SC or AL maroon. Will be sending back. Also, should be noted that these definitely run large.
