Tomorrow is Thursday, and why that is important will be detailed shortly.
Any reader of this blog is well aware of my love for BBQ. That said, I haven’t ever talked about my ‘favorite’ place: Fox Brothers BBQ. It is amazing. It’s tough to find, but worth the drive. Fox Bros. is a dry rub place; very ‘Texas’. All of the meats on the menu are delicious – the pork, chicken, ribs, brisket…all of it. The sides are outstanding – all of them. The Brunswick stew alone is worth the trip.
Why Thursday (and Saturday) is important – Fox Bros. features Beef Short Ribs on Thursdays and Saturdays. In my opinion they are the best thing on (or off) the menu. The meat is so tender, it literally falls off the bone. Do yourself a favor…
Short Rib plate with tots and slaw. Sweet tea up top.
Next time you are in Atlanta, make a stop – you will not be disappointed. Leave room for dessert – particularly the chocolate pecan pie…
The Fox brothers are originally from my town, Austin, and I will attest to the fact that they do Texas BBQ right.
The best sandwich I ever had was their brisket with pimento cheese; it may have even had bacon on it. HEAVEN!
Go ears deep in that plate son….nothing better than good Barbecue in the Summer. Hungry just lookin' at it.
Have you ever been to Melear's in Fayetteville ? That's my personal favorite.
