And here we are. The first playoff rankings were released and the Volunteers from Knoxville hold the top spot, followed by the obligatory, TV-friendly non-SEC team at #2 (I think it was Ohio State?), followed by the Dawgs at #3. This couldn’t line up better for UGA: the #3 ranking, along with the 2nd half sub-par play vs. Florida made practice fun this week. That and UGA -8.5 (and growing) according to the Vegas line… No doubt the Dawgs will be ready on Saturday. Really ready.
But Tennessee will be riding HIGH (with ‘Rocky Top’ in their Discman on repeat). They’ve had the benefit of getting big wins in front of their home crowd, but they are playing this one between the hedges. It’s going to be war, at least for the first half, then the Dawgs should pull away.
