While Aspen is thought of as the après ski mecca here in the States, the pre-snow views are spectacular. My friends at Res Ipsa thought WAY ahead, and opened a retail store downtown that does extremely well. Their bright colors and aggressive designs are a very nice touch for both the summer set and the winter crew. Their Kilim Loafers/clogs/boots, etc., are what put them on the map, but they have expanded to outerwear and home goods, all on full display in the shop.
Next time you are out there, or just passing through, be sure to stop by and say hello.

“A place where the beer flows like wine.”
Their loafers seem as good as ever, but the “Don’t be a little bitch” gear is a bit cringe.
Samsonite? I was WAY off!
Yeah I wonder if the shop realizes the irony of selling a throw pillow cover that reads “Don’t be a little b*tch”?
Of course, this is definitely a store heavily geared for the Northeastern crowd. I haven’t been to Aspen in 10 years, but I assume it’s only gotten…worse.
I’m not sure what exactly you mean by worse. But I have family in the area and have been going there for a while, and its definitely become one of my least favorite places in Colorado at this point.
I wouldn’t say the NE crowd. I would say the prissy crowd in general lol.
I prefer Vail/RC Bachelor Gulch. Aspen is great, but not as kid friendly as Vail.
Loafers are still cool after all of these years, but it would be really nice if they offered widths. regular widths won’t work with these tugboats.
