I follow basketball for exactly one month: March. I really do enjoy watching the NCAA and NIT tournaments, but that’s about it. That said, I don’t know much about basketball. One person I do like is Roy Williams, the head coach at North Carolina. He seems like a really nice guy, and his players love him.
One thing that is true, is that Roy has mastered the art of the sport coat. He does it right: solid shirt and understated tie. Let the sport coat do the work. I have no idea where he shops, but my guess is that a couple mens stores in Chapel Hill love it when he comes in. Here is a collection of a few of his finest, with my attempts at captions:
“What?”
“This is my ‘Red Clay Soul’ style. Now watch me whip Virginia.”
“The Navy blazer? Again? Come on, you’re better than that.”
“No, this is a different jacket than the picture above. Are you blind?”
“This is my ‘taking a dook’ imitation. Get it?

I literally thought the exact same thing when I was watching basketball this weekend.
Pretty sure he shops at Alexander Julian’s store in Chapel Hill: julianstyle.com/
You’re correct. Julien’s on Franklin Street. It’s only fitting that the man who designed the argyle uniforms should dress the coach.
He’s got game…from a former haberdasher.
