The hunt is as fun as the find. Sometimes more fun.
We are really lucky to have a great antique market every month here in Atlanta. Scott Antique Market is thousands of square feet of vintage goodness that descends on Atlanta every month. It’s just about everything you can think of. Some of it is totally overpriced, but there are some seriously cool gems if you look hard enough. Mrs. RCS and I hadn’t been down in a while, but made our way this weekend. Here is a rundown of all the goods that we saw…enjoy:
Oyster Plates:
Party Cooler:
Horse Pictures:
The perfect side table:
Meat sword:
Eye candy:
I had to try it on…I am 100% sure that my next watch will be a Datejust. I need to call Crown & Caliber.
Weird boot jacks, but I really like them:
Art:
Vintage Barbours…some REALLY cool options not available in the US. Mrs. RCS almost bought three of them:
A couple examples of completely dry jackets (NO wax):
What’s up Rock House in Harbour Island??:
I’m an idiot for not buying all four of these:
ALMOST came home with us. 4′ x 4′ Kiel that would be great in our kitchen.
Cool black and whites from the late 60s:
We both commented how much fun we had…we’ll be back next month.
P L E A S E S U P P O R T O U R P A R T N E R S :
I’m curious what the price was for the Datejust…
What is the story on the Kiel artist? Killer name!
Some great items there! I always enjoy time at SAM. Curious to know what items you’ve bought over the years. We’ve a bow front early-American chest in our dining room we bought years ago, and two gigantic and worn Persian rugs. We’ve also found replacement pieces of our flatware at great prices. Oh, and don’t forget the chicken salad in the food court.
