Ladies and Gentlemen, we have reached the final week of the Peach State Pride X RCS #GeorgiaBBQ Bracket Challenge. We have gone from 64 BBQ spots down to the final four. We’ve got Southern Soul in St. Simons, Holcomb’s in Greensboro, Big Shanty in Kennesaw, and Zeb’s in Danielsville.
Final Four voting will run through Wednesday night at 10PM ET. Keep in mind, every vote counts. Tell your friends…

Zebs has been a family tradition as long as I can remember. They were there serving the public before I was born. They always take food to family with a death in their family. That is so much appreciated.

first spot I hit everytime I come home to Georgia from California is Zeb’s best ever.
I live in Wisconsin now, but I hail from Athens, GA. The number one thing I miss is Zeb Dean’s Pork BBQ. There is none better. . .ANYWHERE!!!
I grew up eating at Zebs & still do today! I have memories of my going with my great grandmother & Zeb would sit & talk to her while we had lunch! A lot of years ago!!

My hat’s off to Zeb’s – they obviously have a huge following and have been in business a lot longer than we have. With 23 hours to go I’m not ready to concede, but you have to admire the passion of their clientele.

Might be a little unfair to Southern Soul and Big Shanty because I’ve never had the privilege of eating there, but Zeb’s is my all time favorite and Holcomb’s is right up there in my top 3. I know the granddaughters of both restaurants, great folks. And it doesn’t get more Old South/Rural Georgia than these two places. The absolute perfect setting for old fashioned BBQ.
Big Shanty, best in variety, taste, and atmosphere! Polls are polls, but put some of Big Shanty’s butts in your face, and you’ll love ’em.

Congratulations to Zebs! I’ve never given a concession speech before so I’ll keep it short & sweet. Zeb’s is more than just a BBQ joint – it is obviously a large part of the of the community reaching back for many years. Although I don’t make a habit of eating BBQ on my day off I hope to visit this establishment in the future. Best of luck in the finals!
