This ought to be fun…
Mrs. RCS and I just secured tickets to the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration Featuring Warren Haynes. The show is Friday, June 24th at Chastain Park Amphitheatre… We are still kicking ourselves for not getting tickets to the Chicago shows last 4th of July weekend, so hopefully this will help heal that regret.
I’m really excited to see what sort of setlist they will play. According to the show’s website: “This ground-breaking orchestral program – curated by the Garcia Family – features Garcia’s original compositions, as well as classic interpretations of his timeless standards that were hallmarks of Garcia and the Grateful Dead’s shows. Collaborating with a full symphony orchestra, renowned vocalist/guitarist Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, The Dead) lends his soul-soaked, introspective blend of rock, blues, R&B and jazz to Garcia’s masterworks.”
Should be a blast…
Thanks for sharing. I’m going to pick some up. We’ll have to have a drink there.
The wife and I, along with my friend and his wife will be in attendance. Going to be a blast!
