By now you are familiar with Strong Boalt, the men’s luxury swimwear line that has made an appearance on this blog, as well as quite a few others that are in the know. Strong Boalt is the brain child of Amanda Boalt, who has a highlight-filled history in fashion. Strong Boalt was nice enough to give us a little insight about her and into her company:
What is the history of Strong Boalt? Strong Boalt was founded in 2009 by Amanda Strong Boalt. She was working in New York as a buyer for Ralph Lauren and left her job to start this brand and moved back to Florida for some warm weather inspiration…
Describe Strong Boalt in one word: Tropical
What makes your swimsuits special? The quality, the prints and the colors.

What’s next from Strong Boalt? Lots! We have a full men’s line coming out this year. We have boys swim, 5 new shirt styles including terry cloth, cotton and pique and chino shorts!
Strong Boalt produces some of the nicest swimwear on the market. I like to think of it as American Luxury, but with European flare. Their designs remind me of a vintage Hermes tie. Very unique, but not cheeky. They currently have two cuts: the board shorts (pictured), which have a straight cut, with an 8.5″ inseam (size 32 waist), and swim trunks, which have an elastic waist and a 5.5-6″ inseam. The cuts are spot on, and the numerically sized waists allow for the proper fit.
Beyond the trunks, they have released the new hybrid shorts, that will take you from the golf course to the pool…seriously – jump right in. These shorts are outstanding; such a good concept for summer attire. they are made of the same fabric as the swimwear, but feature a tab and button closure, and instead of a drawstring, they feature side tabs to adjust the waist. They come in four colors, all of which are very appropriate for the water, and for dry land.
Those of you that have already gotten on board with Strong Boalt can attest – they make outstanding swimwear. You won’t find anything like it on the market – either in cut, designs, or quality. In a situation like this, you get what you pay for. I’ve been a long time Strong Boalt customer, and just like everything else that is good – these colors don’t fade.
I like the line… but the price points are insane!
I have no need for trunks, but that elephant print is fantastic!
