I love BBQ. Seriously love BBQ. All of it – pulled pork, ribs, chicken, ribs, brisket, ribs, and ribs. All the different flavors – tomato, vinegar, mustard, wet, dry, smokey, sweet…whatever. Bring it on.
Next time you are near Columbia, SC, be sure to stop at Maurice’s. They are famous for their mustard sauce – it’s as good as it gets. Bring a bottle or two home with you. It’s so good, my brother puts it on his steaks.
Get the #1 Big Pig Dinner – it includes a half pound of pit-cooked BBQ, two BBQ ribs, Carolina hash over rice, slaw, & a roll. They do a good job of keeping the ‘other’ stuff out of the pork – it’s 99% meat (no fat/grizzle). The hash is great – a nice change from the usual beans or Brunswick stew; and it’s hard to mess up cole slaw. If you do drop in – let me know what you think.
