It’s no secret that the late 80s Toyota Land Cruisers are at the top if my list, and if I could have it my way, it would be two tone. Double the cool… Check out these beauties:
You’ve a variety of FJ60 and FJ62 models there, including a RHD diesel from Japanese Domestic Market production. I love the two-tone look and funky tweed fabric interiors. These trucks are easy to maintain (especially around ATL) and cool to drive, why not get yourself one?
Oh yeah – it’s on the list. It’s only a matter of time.

The color offerings from Toyota in two tone have never appealed to me for whatever reason. I’ve always been partial to the FJ60 in solid colors of Freeborn Red and Desert Beige.
A 1988 land Cruiser two tone has been my dream build vehicle. Cream on top, Hunter Green on the bottom. Peanut Butter leather interior. 3-4 inch lift. 35 inch all terrains. custom roof rack. Automatic drive so it can be a tailgate/family vacation driver.
I’m happy to own an 88 FJ62 in the two tone blue. I actually almost bought the truck in the 5th picture in Washington. Cool rigs!

I actually stopped this morning while I was walking into the office to admire a 2 tone blue and silver with racks on the top. I had to explain to the young lady I was talking to that it was my dream 2nd car when I stopped mid-sentence.

I like the 80 series too, but really I’ve never seen a Land Cruiser I didn’t like.

Always been partial to the earlier FJ 55 wagons, but right now the last Jeep Wagoneers are coming down in price, and they are on my radar.
Love it. I’ll dig into your blog, too. I just bought an old LX470 for a woods truck/ family vacation rig/ camping/ dog/ whatever car – your blog came up when I googled “Two tone land cruiser” for some paint ideas since mine needs some help there. And yes – to my eye the FJ60 is the coolest of the cool. Single round headlights on a truck that looks (in a good way) like it rolled off some kindergartener’s drawing page, all rectangles and right angles and coolness.
