Northside Tavern Print from Classic Georgia X Plaid Columns X Red Clay Soul

I’ve been hanging around with the Classic Georgia guys for longer than I care to admit.  They are some of the greatest guys, who I am very glad to call friends.  We’ve been talking about collaborating on something for years, but nothing really felt right.

A few months ago they approached me about a new focus: Classic Georgia Artworks.  They teamed up with Robert Matre and Evan Jones of Plaid Columns for paintings and prints of Georgia-themed subjects.  You’ve seen some of these on the blog (Masters, etc.).  They approached me about collaborating on a print.  This felt right, but it had to be the right subject.  There are plenty of paintings of old country barns, water towers with county names, and BBQ joints, around our great state, but something was missing…

One of my absolute favorite Georgia landmarks is Northside Tavern.  Located at the intersection of Howell Mill Rd. and Brady Ave, it is a landmark that offers cheap beer, a excellent clientele, and live blues seven nights a week.  I used to live next door, and I’ve spent WAY too many nights there.  I love it there.  I love that they are staying put with all the development going on literally next door.  Our city wouldn’t be the same with out Northside Tavern.

This felt right.  I told the Classic Georgia guys that I’d be happy to collaborate on a Northside Tavern print, and I am very honored and happy to announce that they are available today.  What’s better, is that they are 50% off through Tuesday night.  There are only 95 available, so get yours quick.
