The Summer doldrums are coming to an end, and Fall releases are starting to act up. There is so much good stuff out there…here are five things that have my attention:
Old South Print Co. Skeleton Angler T-Shirt – While there are quite a few companies doing really well with the Dead theme, Old South has been knocking it out of the park for quite some time. AND – they use the Comfort Colors pocket t-shirts, which get a lot more mileage than the thin blends. And how cool is ‘terracotta’ as a color?
Strong Boalt Green Bamboo Board Shorts – I’m about to hit a clean out cycle of old swimsuits, as I haven’t bought any in years. Strong Boalt is by far the greatest value for the dollar, and the inseams are just right. I’ve got my eye on these green bamboo options, as well as a few pairs of their Hybrid shorts.
Filson Camo Grab N Go Tote – And Filson continues to knock it out of the park. I have the tan Grab N Go tote, BUT IT’S NOT CAMO. Honestly, the functionality of this as a blind bag or field tote really makes sense. Per my last duck hunt, I was protected with waxed cotton, and was much more dry than all they guys wearing the ‘tech’ stuff.
Zunzi’s – I had one of their chicken sandwiches last week, and I can tell you first hand that it’s a game changer. So much so that if the Atlanta store closes, I’d drive to their Savannah location to quench the hunger.
Ball and Buck Active Anorak – They have quite a product development crew over at Ball and Buck. Their last few releases have been incredible (camo blind bag…eh hem…). Their most recent release is their Anorak – specifically a design that is lightweight and extremely functional. And the pre-market price is seriously attractive.
What are you digging these days?
My family went to a wedding in Savannah about 5 years ago and we tried all sorts of the southern foods that were said to be staples in the town, Mrs. Wilkes etc. They were all great, but we also tried Zunzis and that was probably the best meal I had the whole time.
