High Five

Rounding out the week…here are five things that have my attention, and I think you’ll enjoy.

LOWE TIDE Sea Island House

HGTV Co-Founder Ken Lowe has listed the Sea Island property on 18th Street for a cool $42M.  He and his wife bought it in 2017 for $9.1M, and did a little work.  The renovations were supposed to be a little here and a little there, but ended up a full gut job. The renovations were completed in 2021-2022. I mean…it’s hard to say this wouldn’t be a lottery goal.

SONRISA Sage Knit Shirt from Miller Brothers

This is the sort of hybrid shirt I can get behind.  Made by Sonrisa, it’s constructed like a dress shirt, but out of loosely woven pique cotton. Talk about a cool breeze…This might be a good date-night shirt for your next trip down to the beach.

Finding Vintage Parker Pens on eBay

I am pretty obsessed with Parker Vector and Jotter pens.  They are built extremely well, including the weight, the feel, and the performance (there’s nothing like that ‘click’ from a Jotter).  A hack is to search “Parker Pen Lot” and get to searching.  I’ve found some EXTREMELY good deals on a few older pens that have never been used.  The ink refills are an easy Amazon buy.

La Matera El Arandano Woven Belt

La Matera has been introducing some new patters to the already-impressive lineup of woven and polo belts.  I love the abstract feel of their new El Arandano.  It just works.  Line this up with some well cut shorts and a linen shirt and you are ready to get after it (and you look the part!).

Footjoy Premier 445s (Masters Edition)

This was a gut punch.  I saw these on Instagram the night before they were released, and completely missed out.  The Packards are my favorite of all the Footjoy Premier options, and these are so good.  Perfect for warm weather and shorts.  However – I can’t believe how quickly they sold out.   The (Masters) irony isn’t lost on me that these can be found on eBay for 200% of retail.  Blah.

What do you think?
