In Hand: The King Ranch Saddle Stitch Leather Weekender

A good weekender duffle is essential to any men’s closet.  The problem is that there are SO MANY options that shopping for one can get overwhelming.  From a weekender perspective, this is a bag that will be on you.  Not something that you check. The weekender size is ideal for a 1-2 night trip, and it should hold all your essentials, minus (maybe) a sport coat or dress shirt.

The big question on the right weekender for you is the style.  As I mentioned, there are so many options.  I know all of you are familiar with King Ranch Saddle Shop, and their options are not to be overlooked.  Below is the Saddle Stitched Leather Weekender, and I took it for a spin on a weekend trip to The Greystone on Lake Toxaway.  It was perfect.

First off, the leather.  It’s amazing.  The pebbled look gives it a refined look.  Not stuffy or slick, but a timeless look that will never go out of style.  The saddle stitching is a cool look – not something you see a lot in high-end leather bags.  The design is simple: no frills on the outside, a lined interior with an accessories pocket to keep yourself organized. The rolled handle makes for easy carrying, and the removable shoulder strap is good for when your hands are full.

The bag is an investment, but it’s a good one.  This one will last until the cows come home.  Enjoy some images:
