NEW YEAR’S EVE
Saying goodbye AND hello in the same evening… It’s all about the right party after dinner at the right restaurant and a LOT of the right champagne. The dress was chosen six months ago. The tuxedo is 40 years old and still kicking. The hangover is going to last until Easter….C’est la vie.
Disappointed that a guy in a get-up like that can’t tie his own bow tie without help. Come on man…
Seems that one perennial skill which we all should likely have is the ability to tie and rock the bow. No mirror needed. Perfectly imperfect. GTH style. No amount of time, or booze, or life can remove that skill from our muscle memory.
I have been trying to find a decent Dunhill (ebay seems to be all from Japan or beat up). Good stuff – this puts a smile on my face to read.
