I truly miss Lewis Grizzard. I have all of his books and refer to them frequently. He was an icon of the South, and I hate that there are generations that have missed the Grizzard experience. Tip of the hat to Classic Georgia and Peach State Pride for doing their part in keeping his legacy going. They just released the “Ready When You Are” t-shirt…the full quote:
“First, we really don’t care how you did it in Chicago. Second, if you miss it so much, Delta is ready when you are.”

I had the good fortune to once see Lewis Grizzard do his stand-up, more so than his writing, which was fantastic, it was his spoken delivery of the words. His Georgia accent put everything in better perspective, and once you heard him, you could imagine the delivery when you read his books and newspaper columns. My family quotes Lewis regularly, and the quote on this T-shirt is one of my favorites.
I purchased this after seeing it here. Took a while to get here, but it was worth the wait. Got a Master green Georgia visor too. It helps stay connected when living across the border in Bammer.
