Russell Moccasin Camo

It’s safe to say that Russell Moccasin has set the standard in hunting boots.  They are an investment, but you get what you pay for.  We’ve talked extensively about the measurement process, essentially providing a perfectly fitting pair of boots, that are able to be repaired, resoled, or re-stretched.

One option that we haven’t touched on is the camo option.  As you peruse the Russell catalog, you’ll notice that there are a few options with fabric on the quarters rather than leather…

Russell is able to use a variety of camo patterns to give your boots some heavy duty character.  The camo is extremely tough, and the inside is lined, so there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the elements.  Remember, these are going to be YOUR boots for quite some time, so make them yours…and wear the hell out of them.

In a recent conversation with Sue, I asked for all the camo options…here you go…

Realtree Max XT:

Realtree Xtra Green:

Mossy Oak Break Up:

Mossy Oak New Bottom Land:

Mossy Oak Greenleaf:

Mossy Oak Shadow Branch:

Mossy Oak Tree Stand:

Mossy Oak Forest Floor:

Mossy Oak Break Up:

Now all they need is an old-school camo (wink wink) and they’ve got it all covered.

Which is your favorite?

Too bad they don’t offer the old school brown duck camo.

A rare swing and miss. I consider adding camo to a pair of Russell boots a form of flag desecration. The type of gentleman hunting that requires those boots doesn’t even need camo. Leave the Realtree Busch Light Jacked Up Chevy patterns where they belong — on Cabela’s hoodies that probably won’t even see the field.
