The Super Bowl is finally here. After National Signing Day, it’s finally getting some talk down in SEC Country (cue the Notre Dame eye-roll). Today is all about an attitude. The pressure is as high as possible. Not only on the field, but to the economic impact of Santa Clara. Advertisers are paying a record $5M for a 30-second spot. The comprehensive ‘Super Bowl’ is worth more than most countries’ GDP.
My last minute thoughts on the game:
The Panthers are a freight train. Led by Cam Newton, their offense is almost unstoppable. It’s true that Defense wins championships, and the Panthers, led by DGD Thomas Davis, hit hard, play hard, and don’t make mistakes.
The Broncos are a machine. Their defense is relentless…I don’t know if there is a better pass rush in the league. Led by Peyton Manning, who is essentially a head coach/offensive coordinator/GM on the field, there isn’t a better prepared team to be in the Super Bowl than the Broncos.
Tonight’s game is going to be great. I truly believe that. Cam is so much fun to watch, and Peyton is going to go down as a top-3 QB in history.
Prediction:
My heart wants Peyton and the Broncos to win. Very Elway-esque…walk off into the sunset with a Lombardi Trophy. My head tells me that Cam dominates, and the Panthers win by 30.
What do you think?
I’m hoping for a great game. It’s a bit difficult to bet against Manning and that defensive line. However, I see Cam and the Panthers pulling it out in the end. I’ll go with the Panthers by a 14 point spread.
That 30 point thing is not going to happen! Broncos will probably win it.
Texas A&M’s Von Miller is truly the best player in the NFL. Another stAr player from an SEC school
