Quarter-zip and Button-type sweaters are a great layer for this time of year. It’s a dressier option than a Patagonia Snap-T, but still has a casual feel. Appropriate for the adult table. Pair it with khakis or jeans – either way it’ll class it up a bit.
(Clockwise from top left)
1. Southern Point Hayward Quarter Zip Sweater – Excellent logo
2. Lands’ End Canvas Button Neck Cable Sweater – Your girl may ‘borrow’ this one
3. Bonobos Hobart Half Zip Sweater – A good, trim cut; perfect for the golf course
4. Brooks Brothers Merino Button Mock Neck – Classic, as always
5. Billy Reid Gaston Half Zip Sweater – Be the coolest guy in the room
6. Orvis Merino/Cashmere Donegal Sweater – I’ll bet this one is bullet proof
Before I saw your comment about “your girl may borrow this one” I was going to say that #2 was my favorite. I wear Mark’s version from Rugby all the time around the house.
I can’t do the zipper thing. I like the two button versions, though, particularly the LE Canvas one.
LL Bean makes an excellent one…soft, yet wears like it’s bulletproof

No love for the shawl collar?
