By now, most of you are aware of Matt Hranek’s ‘A Man and His Watch’. It’s an outstanding book that I would recommend to any guy whether you are a watch fan or not. The featured watches are fantastic, and the stories that accompany them are inspiring.
Crown & Caliber is a great partner to Red Clay Soul, as well as one of my favorite spots on the Internet. They have started a series ‘Watch Stories’ that focuses on the personal stories behind iconic watches. Personally, I believe that great watches should have a story, it should be for a reason. Whether commemorating something, remembering something, or celebrating an event, it makes the reward that much more special. Go check out #amanandhiswatch on Instagram and you’ll see watch stories from the masses. Click here to see a couple posts I did. I’m very lucky to have some great watches, and they all have a sentimental place, a reason for being with me and on my wrist.
Featured in the most recent video is Matt, where he talks about a few of his timepieces, and why they are special to him:
And to enjoy even further, the fine guys at Crown and Caliber are hosting Matt for a book signing at Sid Mashburn’s Atlanta store on Saturday, June 9th from 3-6PM:
Matt will be signing copies of his book (just in time for Father’s Day). Crown & Caliber are bringing some of the watches from the book, plus some other greats. This is a great chance to kick off a Saturday night on the Westside, meet some great folks, and try on some serious hardware.
